My front line has always been with children and young people. When I was a teacher, I used to have a spot in the classroom where I imagined Jesus was sitting and occasionally, often at unexpected times, there were moments when I could almost sense him working in the classroom, through the Holy Spirit. There have been similar moments in my youth ministry; the character of Jesus displayed in the actions of a young person, or in their words spoken quietly and with vulnerability.
My prayer is that I can always be open to the teaching and leading of the Holy Spirit in my ministry wherever and whatever I’m doing.
